Pat Sodomka: Our Hearts Hurt

Pat Sodomka, wife of Dennis Sodomka, passed this morning after a battle with cancer. She was the love of Dennis’s life. I can’t find words to say how sad I am at his loss. No, our loss. This world was a better place because of Pat. She will be missed. My heart goes out for Dennis, their son Michael, her daughter Mary Ellen and their families.

Update: The Funeral Service will be held Monday, Feb 22nd, 2:00 PM at Lutheran Church of the Resurrection, Greene St. Augusta. Visitation will be Sunday, Feb 21st, from 3:00 until 5:00 at Thomas Poteet & Son Funeral Directors, 214 Davis Road, Augusta.

Pat was a sweet. kind woman. As a teacher at Augusta Prep, where her son is currently a senior and her daughter is an alum, I can say that her presence on our campus and in the lives of the faculty, staff, and students will be greatly missed. Her work in life made a difference for so many, especially children. For that, she will always remain with us.
