Notes: Bistro 491 presented another wonderful wine dinner with Ninth Street Wine Market and Eric Norviel, of Quality Wines. They took diners on a trip to the Loire Valley of France, presenting some fine French wines with tasty food such as scallops with risotto and rabbit. The Vouvray and the Cabernet Franc were particularly good, both picking up the mineral quality of the Loire soil.

Here are the wines that were presented:

Grenelle Sparkling Cremant NV
What: The Crémant is of a very nice yellow, slighty straw colored. It is costellated by fine and persistent bubbles. The flavors of lemon, pears and of lime dominate. The structure of the taste is well put forth by the olfactive roundness of quince, the aromatic promptness of acacia and the softness of strawberries.
